The first round of judging is completed; the national selectors chose the best works moving on to the second round

This year the competition received a total of 8,600 photos by 600 authors from 27 countries. We thank all the photographers and the national selectors who decided on the best photos and passed them on to the main selector for the second round of judging.

During the second round the main selector, Willie Osterman, will select the finalists and the winners of each category and the overall winner of the festival, who will be awarded the Grand Prix. The winners of all categories will be awarded with the “Kadar” statue, which is presented to them at the gala award ceremony in Rovinj on May 6th, 2017. Three of the most successful authors in each category will be presented as part of a large traveling exhibition, catalog, official website, media releases and all promotional material of the festival. The overall winner of the Festival, the winner of the Grand Prix award, will also win a solo exhibition at the Rovinj Photodays Festival 2018 with the accompanying publication.

Willie Osterman will personally open the final exhibition of finalists, on the first day of the festival in Rovinj, on May 5th 2017.

Final results will traditionally be presented at the press conference in the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb in mid-April.
