The Winner of the Grand Prix award of Rovinj Photodays 2017 announced

The awards ceremony for the winners of the annual competition officially concluded the program of one of the largest Eastern European photography festivals, Rovinj Photodays!

This year, the festival’s Grand Prix was awarded to the winner in the Artistic concept category, Domagoj Burilović. The Grand Prix was presented by the head selector Willie Osterman.
Awards were presented in seven official categories to 4 photographers from Croatia, 4 from Serbia, 3 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 from Italy, Macedonia and Slovenia and one each from Spain, Sweden, and a duo from Great Britain. Their works were presented for the first time in a group exhibition of all finalists, which was also the central event of this year’s festival.

Winning this award means that Domagoj will have a solo exhibition with the corresponding publication at the Rovinj Photodays 2018 festival and our sponsor Maistra is awarding him with a weekend vacation at the renowned Hotel Eden.

You can find Domagoj Burilović’s work, as well as the works of other finalists, on this link.

This year, as in previous years, the festival brought together a number of names from the social and public life and a large number of photographers and photography experts from around the world.

This traveling exhibition will also be shown in other Croatian towns, such as Pula, Rijeka, and Zagreb, as well as in institutions and festivals throughout Europe. The aim is to strengthen the contemporary photographic scene in the entire region, and the authors are provided a quality platform for the presentation of art work to the general public and the international photographic community.

The next competition will be announced in December of this year.
