Storms, landslides, mudslides, fires, floods, earthquakes.Beginning in the areas of 2018’s Storm Vaia, I have traveled the scenarios of some of these phenomena. Far from sensationalist interest, I have often slowed down and waited for the weather to take its course before traveling to the places affected by these events. The inertia that moves me is to search for the scars and witness how the marks left by these events endure over time and in turn become part of the landscape. For this reason, an intimate vision prevails, full of details and personal points of view; the news is gone, the shock has passed, and returning to these places responds to the need to rediscover care and attention for a wounded but equally strong landscape charged with dignity. ‘Se non fosse amaro’ is a research, still in progress, that moves in the regional territories and border areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia
