Dom kulture Rovinj

Portfolios will be reviewed on May 7^th  u Domu kulture Rovinj as a part of the closing event in Rovinj. Everybody will have the chance to attend the portfolio reviews (regardless of whether they are Croatian citizens or not).

Each photographer can choose his or her own reviewer depending on the photographic theme or type of photography.

The reviewers are Croatian and foreign photographic experts and representatives of publishers, media companies, galleries, photo agencies, etc.

In your allotted 20 minutes with the chosen interviewer, you will have the chance to present your work and get a mark, receive some advice or receive a review of your work. This is also a great opportunity for making contacts and arranging further possible collaboration.

Conversations with foreign interviewers will be in English.

You will have the opportunity to present your prints or digital photographs on your own laptop computer.
You can qualify for a meeting with a reviewer by filling in the on-line application form.

NOTE:

• Study the reviewers’ names and their biographies. Carefully compare their fields of interest with to yours carefully.
• Fill in the form.
• Choose a conveniently sized portfolio to present your work in order to make it easier to transport and present.
• Prepare questions that you would like your reviewers to answer.
• Make sure you have limited the number of your photographs, especially those that are part of a series, in order to be able to help them gain an insight into your work and its diversity.
• Prepare copies of your work (composites, CDs, postcards, prints with a selection of photographs) with your contact information so they can be used as business cards. By doing this, you can avoid having to leave your original works with the reviewers.
